5 Stay at Home Date Night Ideas | Friday Fives with Sydney Marie Photography
Feel like youâve watched everything on Netflix and need some date night ideas while weâre all stuck at home? Here are five of my favorite date night ideas that have been keeping my own marriage fresh and fun.
Dinner with a twist.
This is one that has SO many options, you can change it up and make it different every time. Make a home cooked meal from your favorite food website (I personally love Bon Appetit and Food Network) or order take out from your favorite local restaurant. From there, you can dress up in your best clothes or take it that step farther and dress as your favorite celebrity, movie character or fandom. The possibilities are endless and so much fun!
Virtual Tour.
Had to cancel a trip or just want to explore the world from the comfort of your own home? There are a ton of virtual tours online from zoos, museums, parks and more.
Here are a few of my favorites: San Diego Zoo, The Louvre, Yosemite National Park and my favorite touring Frank Lloyd Wright homes.
Camping in the backyard
Set up the tent in the yard, get some hot dogs and smores going. If you have a firepit or grill, you can have the full experience. Itâs totally okay if you donât! Everything can be made on the stove or in the microwave. Just because the campgrounds are closed, doesnât mean you canât camp! Live in an apartment or donât have a yard? Make a blanket fort in the living room!
Game night
Card games, board games, video games, and even online games. There are so many options and even ones you can play with friends and family! A few of my favorite online game platforms are Houseparty and Jackbox Games.
Sip and Paint (or craft!)
Have a craft night! Follow a tutorial on Pinterest or YouTube, attempt to paint with Bob Ross or just use your own creativity. You can make it a competition between the two of you or work together.
