May Wedding at Illinois Wesleyan University

There is so much I can say about Ketra and Josh, but the biggest thing would have to be their love for each other and their love for God is so strong. Just being able to witness their strength as individuals with waiting to have their first kiss at the ceremony and their love, commitment and respect of each other's wishes through their whole relationship was a beautiful thing to witness. They are such a beautiful couple inside and out, thank you a million times over for being so incredible. I hope this new adventure together gets better each and every day.

Let's talk about Ketra and Josh's wedding day, both the ceremony and reception were at Illinois Wesleyan University in Bloomington, Illinois. They did not to a first look, but prayed together privately before the ceremony. It was so moving and beautiful, and I know it helped calm their nerves before being in front of everyone. After that the bridesmaids and moms prayed over Ketra, it was super emotional and everyone was crying (including me!). What I thought was really cool was during the ceremony Ketra and Josh planted a tree together as a symbol of their unity together. The first kiss was one of my favorite moments of the whole day, everyone just erupted in cheers from the anticipation of this kiss. From there they had a pretty epic lavender toss outside the church, everyone really enjoyed it!

For the middle of May, the weather was PERFECT! It was a little on the warm side in the sun but we couldn't have asked for better weather. After the ceremony we took family and wedding party photos and then it was time for the bride and groom portraits!! We walked around campus, and Ketra wanted to stop at the auditorium she use to dance in, and have a dance with Josh, it was such a sweet moment. After the portraits, we headed to the reception to get the party started! The wedding party was hilarious and were hiding under the table from guests, everyone cheered when they popped up.

I asked Ketra about how her and Josh met, and here's what she had to say, "We met through church and went on a date to a coffee shop in Normal called Coffee Hound. We spent a few hours chatting and getting to know each other until we decided to walk down the street to get lunch together." Josh's proposal is just as cute, "We went out to dinner for our anniversary to Medici in Normal and afterwards walked down the street to the coffee shop where we went on our first date. Josh surprised me with flowers, a note, and proposed while our families secretly watched from outside the window."

All in all, it was truly a perfect day. Together, Ketra and Josh completely compliment one another. They are, indeed, a perfect match, and I am just bursting with joy that I got to document their love on their big day.
