Charlevoix, Michigan | Fall Engagement Session at Spare Key Winery | Shelby + John

Shelby and John’s engagement session at Spare Key Winery in Charlevoix, Michigan was full of laughter and lots of love. Shelby’s family actually owns the winery and their wedding will be there next year!! It was fun walking around the vineyard and learning about where everything is going to be for the wedding and meeting Shelby’s family. We ended up moving the session to mid morning, instead of sunset due to a HUGE thunderstorm popping up - but it was so worth it!

These two are dream couple material for me, which is really just loving beer and dogs! I asked Shelby a little bit more about her and John and what they like to do together. “We actually met at a brewery and love to try different beers. We also go wine tasting almost every time we are up in Northern Michigan. We also love training and walking our pup Barley (he’s a mini-dachshund). We definitely bond over lots of tv shows and movies (we have gone through a ton in quarantine).”

I asked John what he loves the most about Shelby, “Her big eyes, and how smart and kind she is. I love our banter.” I also asked Shelby what she loves most about John “How fun-loving, secretly sensitive, and passionate he is. He is so confident in me, and makes me feel safe, unique, and unconditionally loved.”

HUGE thanks to Shelby’s sister Kelsey for hanging out with us and helping out. I can’t wait for Shelby and John’s wedding next year, I know it’s going to be beautiful.
