Downtown Grand Rapids Engagement Session | Carley + Zack

Downtown Grand Rapids, Michigan is always one of my favorite places for engagement photos. There are so many beautiful buildings and places to take photos within a quick walking distance or drive. I met Carley and Zack at the Blue Bridge, where we walked around to The Amway Grand and Monroe Center. We ended the session at one of my favorite walls just outside of downtown.

Carley and Zack were so much fun to photograph, they wanted a modern and classy engagement session in the city. We embraced the full sun of Sunday mid morning, before the city started buzzing. Hands down, my favorite photo is their dip in the middle of the street. We were lucky to get a good break in traffic to do some walking photos and didn’t feel rushed with the dip.

I asked them to share a funny story with me about their relationship, “We met because Carley’s roommate saw a picture of Zack holding an apple and Carley did her undergrad thesis on apple production in michigan, she thought we might get along and set us up!”

Thanks again to these two for walking all over downtown Grand Rapids with me. I can’t wait for their winter wedding next year! I know it’s going to be a blast with all their family and friends.
