Backyard Summer Ceremony in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan

Claire and Drew were another one of my couples that ended up changing their original wedding plans due to covid. They decided to push back their full wedding day and have their ceremony at Claire’s parents house instead. They have a dog named Grandpa, and he really was the star of the wedding day - he made sure everyone knew it too!

If you’ve never witnessed a Jewish wedding before, the chuppah is the wedding canopy at the ceremony, it was held by Claire and Drew’s siblings. At the end of the ceremony, Drew stomped on a glass (then we shouted MAZEL TOV!). The Ketubah is a marriage contract, that is also a piece of art. Claire and Drew chose both the text on the ketubah and also artwork.

Hopefully we’ll be able to have their full wedding reception this year.
