St. Clair Shores, Michigan | Nautical Wedding at MacRay Harbor
Anna and Bob’s wedding Labor Day weekend at MacRay Harbor was a BLAST! If you didn’t see their engagement session from last fall, check it out! We lucked out with the most perfect weather for their wedding day, it was saying all week that it was going to be rain but it never did.
If you can’t tell by their boat, they officially met on Tinder, but I did have to ask Anna about how they met and their first date. “We had a mutual friend/coworker that was always going to introduce us, but never did. So we ended up finally meeting through Tinder. Our first date was beers at Kuhnhenn's Brewery (where we went for drinks/photos between the ceremony and reception!), Bob didn't think that I liked him because I didn't say much. He just kept talking so I didn't have many opportunities to talk.”
I also had to ask Anna about how Bob proposed, “We were staying on Mackinac Island over the 4th of July. Bob surprised me with tickets for a fireworks ferry cruise. He was going to do it after the finale, but there wasn't much of a finale, and we were at the front of the boat with alot of people around. He ended up just doing it when we got back to the hotel.”
I have to say thank you to the Scuba Detector for saving our butts during this wedding. One of the groomsmen dropped his glasses in the water during portraits, everyone had followed the scuba detector on Facebook, so they gave him a call. It was in the middle of dinner that he showed up and we all ran out there to capture him rescuing the glasses. It was probably the coolest thing I’ve ever seen at a wedding!
Anna and Bob, thank you for having me as your photographer! Your engagement session and wedding we’re so much fun and I wish you both the best in your marriage!!
