Split Summer and Fall Engagement Session | Alyssa + Dalton

Remember Alyssa and Dalton from the surprise proposal back in January? They ended up booking their 2022 wedding with me, and I’m so excited!!

When we were planning out their engagement session, Alyssa asked if we could do a split session so they could get photos with their pup Daisy as well. Of course I said YES! I am all about having couples fur babies in with their photos!

For the first part of their engagement session, we went to one of my favorite parks in Grand Haven around sunset for some beautiful beach photos. This park has a trail through the woods and grassy area around the beach. It’s definitely a hike to get to the beach, but so worth it!!

For the second part of their engagement session, we ended up scheduling in October. The colors of the trees were SO BEAUTIFUL, and thank goodness the rain held off for us!

This is one of my favorite places to photograph sessions with pups, it’s actually a dog park. That way my clients have the option to let their dog release some energy before (or after) the session. Plus it has this beautiful suspension bridge that is a perfect backdrop!

I can’t wait for Alyssa and Dalton’s wedding this upcoming June! I know it’s going to be a blast, and I can’t wait to see all their friends again!
