Grand Rapids, Michigan | Colorful Creston Engagement Session

Ashley and Jacob’s engagement session was full of color and a ton of fun! I met them and their pup named Spaghetti at a park looking over downtown Grand Rapids. Getting family photos of the three of them was super important, and huge thanks to Ashley’s parents for picking up Spaghetti, so we could continue the rest of their session.

From there we traveled to the Creston area of Grand Rapids and walked around to all the different murals and the 6th street bridge. Grand Rapids has over 100 murals around the downtown area, with more being added every year. GR Kids has an amazing list of murals sorted by location with photos.

When I was chatting with Ashley about their engagement session, one thing she said was that her and Jacob had very few photos of them together, so they weren’t use to being in front of the camera. Most couples I photograph are not pros in front of the camera, and that’s honestly the best. During their session, we took everything nice and slow and just let their personalities shine through the photos. I wanted to make sure they both felt comfortable and confident throughout the whole session.

I can’t wait for Ashley and Jacob’s wedding this September, it’s going to be absolutely beautiful!
